The 21st century has its beginning marked by intense connection and friction movements between different societies. Far from being something new, the phenomenon is only gaining speed. This is because today we are able to produce and consume huge data amounts on algorithms-mediated platforms.

These relationships effects are felt mainly in the cities, where the social experience happens for most of the planet population. The cities acquire distinct characteristics, to the point of developing their own socio-cultural traits, which influence even the way they relate to each other, whether by cooperating or competing.

Central point of this dynamic relationship, data, inputs for information, require care, refinement and promptness in its production. This is the quality expressed in this work, through which Codeplan, in fulfilling its mission to translate Federal District realities, gives us a formidable tool for building public policies based on evidence.

The dimensions presented in the Atlas help us to identify approach and dialogue opportunities with international bodies to disseminate good practices and seek solutions.

The International Affairs Office proudly participated in the present edition of the Federal District Atlas construction. Since work nature involves looking at the most diverse local government action areas, the dimensions presented in the Atlas help us to identify approach and dialogue opportunities with international bodies to disseminate good practices and seek solutions.

The Federal District Atlas helps define Brazil capital; our mission is promoting it around the world.
